  • Ketchup

It's true, I haven't updated in a while.  I've been keeping pretty busy with work, wedding planning, as well as knitting up a proverbial storm.  We've got less than 5 months to go (139 days!), which is pretty crazy and makes me a little bit nervous.  I know we'll be okay, but all the same, those weird wedding dreams keep coming.  I won't relate them here, but they're weird.  I'm excited to be married, so I kind of just wish the wedding could be over.

One of my bigger concerns these days is my car.  I had to take it in once to get the muffler welded back on so it wouldn't fall off.  I don't think it'll last long, though becase it still really scrapes when I have to go over speed bumps.  Well, any bumps, really.  Also, I accidently left the lights on one afternoon and found the car dead 2 hours later.  It wouldn't take a jump, and we couldn't get the battery out to replace it.  There was some drama with the tow truck coming jumping it and it dying again later and needing to call AAA yet again and be on hold yet again... but fortunately in the end that didn't cost me anything except a small portion of my sanity.

The lady at the shop told me to 'hurry up and get a new car' and was giving me tips on how to dispose of mine.  You know when you hear that from the shop you'd better get on the ball.  My poor old car is 20 this year, and she really feels it, I think.  It's sad because it's my first car, the car I learned to drive stick on.  We've covered a lot of ground.  She's been really symbolic of my independence, as well as my means of independence.

So, anybody selling a car?  Ruser and I need to get one that we can both use (an automatic) once we're married.  It's more than likely that mine isn't going to be functioning by then, and the CR-V that he drives isn't his, so that's out.

Anyway, that's about it.  Have a beautiful... uhm... time until I post again.

Sorry about your car. It really has been around. Question: how does ketchup relate to the entry?

Man, I'm slow. Sometimes, I worry about me. Have you had a chance to talk to Sarah or gotten any emails from her? I haven't talked to your mom in a while, so I'm a little out of the loop. Have a beautiful weekend. Happy almost Groundhog Day!

Thanks for the update on Sarah. And, even though it's still 5 months away, I'm excited for your wedding!

That's so crazy! How was your Valentine's Day? Are you and Ruser coming to visit at all before the big day?

@melmoe05 - I hope so!  We haven't made plans to do so yet.  We went to a friends cabin this past weekend, which was really nice.  It's so amazing to get out of the city to where you can't hear cars zooming by 24/7.  Valentine's day we really do much.  Although, Ruser bought me the extended versions of all three Lord of the Rings movies and actually sat through them with me, so I think that counts.  :P  Apparently now I have to use the Rocky Theme as the recessional song because we kind of made this deal that I never thought he'd keep....  We'll see.

Hahaha! Sarah, Katie and I could all pull out boxing gloves or something.
