see relatedLife is a little crazy, lately. Mostly because I'm antsy, I think. I'm eager to get married and start that life together with Ruser. I'm eager to move out together and actually have a real place for all our stuff (hopefully, anyway). I can't wait to come home from work and be together and make dinner and relax in our own space.
Along with that come all the wedding plans - which are going well, by the way. We're really excited and really blessed to have family and friends who are sacrificing a lot to help us and to celebrate with us. But weddings are also strange. There's a lot of pressure to do things 'right' (and of course, there are differing ideas about what that means) and sometimes people just don't know what is expected of them. This all leads to confusion on everyone's part, and occassionally frustration on my own. I expect people to offer help, and I've been told they've been waiting to be asked for help. So, I guess, I don't really know what all is expected of me, either. I don't want to inconvenience anyone, but at the same time, I want to involve people because it's just so much more fun that way.
I have to push my Scandinavian self aside a bit and be Filipina for a while? Hmm...
I just have to learn to be assertive without feeling guilty.

Indeed, this does sound complicated.... fun, but complicated. I see you in a few weeks!
You've been doing a great job, by the way. I'm excited to see how it all turns out! This is not a response out of pressure, but in all seriousness, if there's anything you need us to do on this end, let me know! I'm so excited for you and Ruser, and so incredibly honored and blessed that I get to be part of your special day. Aww...I'm getting bubbly just thinking about it.
